Developing an identity for the startup that encapsulates its core mission and seamlessly translates across various mediums, platforms, and production methods, ensuring a consistent and impactful brand presence.
The Home Planet Fund (HPF), initiated by Patagonia, is dedicated to averting the climate crisis through nature-based solutions, focusing on global preservation and restoration of ecosystems. It supports locally-led, knowledgeable organizations emphasizing regenerative organic practices and biodiversity. This initiative represents a commitment to nurturing the planet and fostering ecological resilience.
In this project, I collaborated with Dilafruz Khonikboyeva, the executive director of the Home Planet Fund, to create a logo and a comprehensive style guide. My goal was to develop a brand identity that effectively communicates the core ideas and principles of the HPF, adaptable and functional across various formats and contexts, including digital platforms and print materials.
The branding concept for the Home Planet Fund was anchored in the theme of "Collective Inheritance." This theme materialized in the form of a logo comprising a set of simple yet sophisticated ‘glyphs’, each encapsulating the core values of the HPF.
The underlying intention of this design is to evoke inspiration and hope, echoing the HPF's message that it is time for communities to collectively assume responsibility for our planet. This logo serves as a visual call to action, urging unified efforts to avert the environmental crisis and safeguard our Earth.
This project was highly emotional for me, as its mission deeply resonates with my own values. In my work, I aimed to mirror this passion, striving to ignite curiosity and foster a sense of connection in others when they experience the brand.
